Nostalgia AI is operated by Limbic Apps Yazılım Ltd. Şti. ("Limbic Apps", "we", "us", "our"), available at nostalgiaai.app and as an iOS/Android app. This policy explains what data we collect when you use Nostalgia AI, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo (if you've made one available) via Firebase Authentication. We use this to create and identify your account — we never see or store your Google/Apple password.
Photos and videos you upload. The images and videos you upload to restore, colorize, animate, or combine are sent to our AI processing partners to generate your result, and the input and output are stored in your account (Firebase Storage/Firestore) so you can access your creation history. You can delete individual creations or your whole account at any time from the app.
Payment information. Subscriptions and credit purchases are processed by Polar, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number — Polar handles that directly and shares with us only what's needed to manage your subscription (plan, status, purchase history).
Usage and analytics data. We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads to understand how the site and app are used and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. This can include your IP address (used to derive an approximate location, then discarded), device/browser type, pages visited, and interactions like button clicks. Where required by law (see Section 6), this only happens after you consent.
We use your information to: provide and improve the restoration/animation/colorization service; process payments and manage subscriptions; communicate with you about your account or support requests; detect and prevent abuse or fraud; and, where you've consented, measure and improve our advertising.
We don't sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers who help us run Nostalgia AI, each bound by their own privacy/security commitments:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Limbic Apps, our users, or the public.
We keep your account data and creations for as long as your account is active. If you delete a creation or your account, we remove it from our active systems within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain records (e.g. payment records for tax/accounting purposes) for longer.
Our service providers operate data centers in multiple countries, including the United States, which may not have the same data protection laws as your home country. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential analytics/advertising cookies — see Section 7 below. You can withdraw consent or exercise these rights at any time by contacting us at [email protected], or by deleting your account directly in the app.
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences (like your chosen language). With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads) to understand usage and measure ad performance. Where required, we honor your choice via Google's Consent Mode, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences link in the site footer.
Nostalgia AI is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
We use industry-standard safeguards (including Firebase's security infrastructure and Firestore access rules that restrict all data access to its owner) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you.
